Make Riches Online - The Real Deal

So I want to give you the lowdown on this whole "make money online" fad. You're probably asking yourself, "Is it really possible?" Simple answer: Yes. But a simple answer isn't good enough, so let's cut the crap and get down to the brass tax here.

Making money online does take work, just like anything else in the world. Even if you were counterfeiting money, you would be working constantly!(I do not promote counterfeiting, it is just an example!) So if you want to make money online, be prepared to work. You simply can't just buy a computer program that will do it all for you, regardless of how many you have seen advertised like that. They simply DO NOT WORK. Take my word for it, I tried them myself. Anyways, if they did work, the dollar would have no value at all because everyone would be sitting in their pajamas lying on the couch watching TV all day. Money has value because we work for it. The only difference is how efficient we are at doing the work......

To succeed in making money online, you MUST be efficient, or else you will just be wasting your time. So if you aren't prepared to learn a lot, and you don't think you have the dedication to internet marketing, then stick with your 9-5 job at the office.

If you do have those qualities, then stick around for the next post where I will tell you the different companies, terms, and other information that you will need to know to get started.

Until next time,
Trevor R.

Affiliate Marketing - Where The Money Is At

Affiliate marketing is one of the most popular ways to make money online. Countless amounts of people make 7 figure incomes, and even more; and they only work 6 hours a week! Their sites are on 'autopilot' so they nearly make money by themselves.

Sounds great doesn't it?

Sure it does, but it isn't as easy as nearly all of the affiliate marketing ebooks make it out to be. Being a successful affiliate marketer takes a lot of learning and work to get into the successful group of marketers, but it is well worth it once you get there. It's like finding the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Those who believe in themselves will get that pot of gold, and the rest will fail.

But woah, back up! What is affiliate marketing anyways?

Affiliate marketing is the online promotion of sales to the general population who searches the internet everyday. If I am an affiliate for a fictional "Product X", then I will receive a commission if I manage to make a sale for that product. It's like being a car salesman, except it's online and for MUCH smaller prices (Anywhere from $10 to $150 products in most cases). The commission is usually around 50-75% of the retail price if it is a product promoted on Clickbank.

What is Clickbank, you ask?

Clickbank is simply a middle man for the people who make products and the people who want to promote the products as affiliates. In simpler terms, Clickbank connects the VENDORS to the AFFILIATES. When a sale is made, both parties get a cut, depending on the commission amount that I mentioned previously.

So, you could go to Clickbank right now, search their 'marketplace' of products, find a product you want to promote, and start promoting it. If you make a sale by referring someone to the product, you make the commission.

So how do YOU, yourself, refer a potential customer? Simple, they click on a link that has your info on it, and that lets Clickbank know who referred the customer.

Catching on? Good!

So that is the general idea of what is happening in Affiliate Marketing. The next post will talk about how affiliates go about promoting the products themselves.

The Hard Part - Promotion

Affiliate Marketing IS promotion. You need to get your advertising out on the internet where potential buyers can see it. There are a TON of different ways you can do this, but I'll go over a couple of the most popular methods.

1. Article Marketing. Also known as "Bum Marketing" which was a term coined by Travis Sago, the 'original bum marketer'. The concept behind bum marketing is fairly simple. You write articles with good information in them, and at the bottom if each articles is a link that you place so a person can learn more about your product. Every article stays on the internet forever, and it will be viewed over and over. This is by far the cheapest method, and the best for Internet Marketing newbies to start out with.

2. Next up: PPC, which stands for Pay Per Click. Pay per click is exactly as it say; you pay for every click on an advertisement created by you. Google Adwords is the most widely used PPC advertising system, but it is NOT EASY to learn as a beginner. Since each click costs you money, you need to figure out how to get the customers who are nearly ready to purchase a product. I started out with PPC, and boy was that a huge mistake! It sounded glamorous, but is became a black hole for my bank account. If I could start new again, I'd go with article markting in a heartbeat.

PPC Advertisements are the ads that you see on the right hand side, or the top of Google results. They are in yellow boxes, you can't miss 'em!

So those are the two most widely used methods for creating quality targeted traffic. What I mean by targeted is visitors who are already interested in the particular subject that your product caters to. If I get a visitor looking for a Golfing guide, and my site is promoting a guide about Parenting, then that visitor probably won't be interested in my product and will just click out of my page. So that is why you want your traffic to be targeted.

That's enough for now, you've got enough to digest!
